How creativity can improve your mental health

This month a fellow wellbeing and mental health practitioner, Dani Bello from Bello Mind and Soul in Derby has written a guest blog for us.  Take it away Dani:

Hi, I’m Dani and I am a creative arts practitioner and I have been facilitating my creative and therapeutic workshops for over 5 years. I facilitate my sessions to help others cope better with their mental health.  Research has shown that “The creative process is based on the belief that self-expression can help you resolve inner conflicts and problems, develop interpersonal skills, manage behaviour, lessen stress, and increase your self-awareness.”

A great activity which I have facilitated with people who struggle with anxiety is ‘affirmation tree’.

‘Affirmation Tree’ Activity
